Job Description
We are seeking a Creative Content Producer & Videographer to help build an Austin-based real estate and lifestyle personal brand across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. The role combines creative strategy, content planning, on-location filming, and visual storytelling.
The successful candidate will develop original content ideas, identify relevant trends, create attention-grabbing hooks, and plan videos from concept through production. Content may cover real estate, luxury homes, new construction, Austin lifestyle, food, local experiences, entrepreneurship, and the creator’s transition from professional football to business.
- Develop concepts for YouTube videos, Instagram Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts.
- Research trends, storytelling formats, audience-retention strategies, titles, and thumbnail ideas.
- Create compelling opening hooks, particularly for the first three seconds of each video.
- Prepare filming plans, including locations, shot lists, talking points, and visual direction.
- Proactively pitch creative ideas and improvements that support brand awareness and real estate business growth.
- Film property tours, interviews, food reviews, lifestyle content, behind-the-scenes footage, and long-form videos.
- Capture cinematic B-roll, strong opening visuals, varied camera angles, and short-form content.
- Operate a Sony FX30 camera and manage exposure, aperture, ISO, shutter speed, white balance, autofocus, and audio.
- Adapt camera settings for indoor, outdoor, restaurant, and real estate environments.
- Direct shots, recommend retakes, and help improve on-camera delivery.
- Organize and transfer raw footage to an existing remote video editor.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience producing engaging video content for social media or YouTube.
- At least two years of video production experience.
- Strong understanding of hooks, storytelling, audience retention, and current content trends.
- Ability to independently develop creative concepts and plan filming sessions.
- Working knowledge of mirrorless cameras and manual camera settings.
- Experience using a Sony FX30 or similar camera is required or strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to direct on-camera talent or conduct interviews.
- Ability to organize and transfer large 4K video files.
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.
- Ability and willingness to travel to filming locations throughout Austin and surrounding communities.
- Reliable attendance for scheduled filming sessions.
- Portfolio or examples of at least two previously produced videos.
- Fluent English communication.
- A college degree is not required; creativity, technical skills, and demonstrated work are valued more.
Compensation and Schedule
- Pay: $25 per hour.
- Contract/freelance role operating as a 1099 independent contractor, subject to applicable classification requirements.
- Approximately 8 hours per week, including planning, travel, filming, and footage handoff.
- Monthly compensation capped at $1,000 unless additional work is separately approved.
- Flexible scheduling coordinated in advance.
- Initial 30-day paid trial with potential for an ongoing freelance relationship.

Equipment and Working Arrangement
- Sony FX30 camera and audio equipment are available for shoots.
- Primary video editing is handled by an existing remote video editor.
- The role focuses on creative development, filming, production, and organized footage delivery.
- Work is performed in person and on location in Austin, Texas.

- Consistently contribute original content ideas without waiting for detailed direction.
- Ensure each planned video has a compelling hook and clear creative direction.
- Conduct organized, efficient, and visually engaging shoots.
