Job Description

ScreenRant is seeking a passionate freelance Video Games Contributor to write high-quality guide articles for its entertainment website. This is a paid, fully remote position with flexible scheduling.

The successful candidate will create original content in ScreenRant’s house style following training and peer mentorship. Responsibilities include researching and fact-checking, formatting articles, adding links, sourcing images, and performing basic image edits such as resizing and brightness adjustments.

• Write guide articles on a regular weekly basis.
• Brainstorm, pitch, and develop original content ideas.
• Review and apply feedback from the editorial team.
• Communicate openly and consistently with editors.

Requirements

• Broad working knowledge of video games and the relevant sector.
• At least two years of experience writing for a credible digital publication.
• Excellent written English, with strong grammar and spelling.
• Ability to produce accurate, high-quality articles within short turnaround times.
• Strong research, fact-checking, and editing skills.
• Quick learner with a strong sense of urgency, initiative, and drive.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
• A bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English Literature, or a related field is an asset.
