Job Description

KeyLogic is seeking a Software Engineer/Application Developer to support a U.S. Government cybersecurity mission in Dulles, Virginia. The role supports incident response efforts for civilian government agencies and critical infrastructure owners affected by cyberattacks, including breach investigations, mitigation planning, and service restoration.

The successful candidate will design, develop, integrate, troubleshoot, and maintain software applications throughout the full development lifecycle. Responsibilities include developing RESTful APIs, resolving production issues, evaluating and integrating commercial software products, testing and validating new tools, improving development standards and documentation, and ensuring quality control of prototype and modified software.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship.
• Active U.S. Department of Defense Secret clearance; TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
• Ability to obtain DHS suitability.
• At least two years of directly relevant application development experience.
• Knowledge of secure software development lifecycles, code versioning, and software maintenance.
• Experience assessing and integrating commercial off-the-shelf software products.
• Experience installing, demonstrating, testing, validating, and evaluating software, tools, methods, and software measurement technologies.
• Operational experience with Python.
• Experience with AWS services such as S3, SQS, Lambda, Glue, and Route 53.
• Knowledge of software application development and RESTful architecture.
• Experience with data transformation and manipulation through code.
• Experience with containerization technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker.
• Strong communication skills and experience engaging directly with customers in project or technical demonstration environments.
• Ability to collaborate across remote and onsite locations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related field; or a high school diploma with four to six years of directly relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with at least two of the following: JSON, data analytics, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Databricks, PostgreSQL, Ansible, Vue.js, React, HTML, Podman, process automation, UI development, or CI/CD.
• Familiarity with data transformation and ETL processes.
• CSSLP or Security+ certification.
