Job Description

DTLC is hiring a hands-on DevOps Engineer on behalf of i8is, supporting Bank of America. The role will join the EIT DevOps team and support multiple applications, CI/CD pipelines, and OpenShift workloads in a production environment.

The engineer will troubleshoot and remediate CI/CD and OpenShift failures, onboard applications and services, standardize deployment patterns, automate repetitive tasks, manage vulnerabilities, and improve platform performance and reliability. The role may occasionally require weekend deployment or production support.

• Configure, deploy, and support workloads on OpenShift and other container platforms.
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket, Jenkins, Ansible, XLR, and OpenShift.
• Onboard new applications and services to CI/CD and container platforms.
• Develop automation to reduce manual intervention and improve operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot production issues quickly in high-pressure situations.
• Implement vulnerability remediation, monitoring, performance improvements, and reliability enhancements.
• Collaborate with application and development teams in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of relevant DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure automation experience.
• Strong hands-on experience configuring, deploying, and supporting Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift workloads in production.
• Expert-level experience with Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, Ansible, Ansible Tower, and JIRA.
• Experience integrating applications with CI/CD platforms and supporting continuous integration and delivery practices.
• Experience with release and build engineering, A/B deployments, and testing.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, Groovy, Shell, or similar languages.
• Strong experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible or Python.
• Experience engineering and supporting scalable, secure, reliable distributed enterprise platforms.
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle and application development technologies.
• Experience using performance monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace.
• Ability to identify vulnerabilities and opportunities to improve system reliability and performance.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and support development teams during critical situations.
• Ability to follow operational controls, risk management, change control, incident management, and problem management processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
• Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes certifications.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and collaborative communication skills.

• Work arrangement: Hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote
• Employment type: Contract, 12+ months
