Job Description

The UX Researcher supports foundational user research, synthesizes findings, and communicates insights to inform product and design decisions.

This role collaborates with Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to identify user needs, evaluate product experiences, and help develop intuitive, accessible, and valuable solutions.

• Support the planning and execution of qualitative and quantitative research studies.
• Conduct interviews, usability tests, surveys, diary studies, and other research activities.
• Observe and document user behavior, feedback, and pain points.
• Analyze research data and synthesize findings into themes and actionable insights.
• Develop reports, presentations, journey maps, personas, and related research deliverables.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Partner with designers and product managers to incorporate user insights into product decisions.
• Maintain organized research documentation, participant records, and repositories.
• Support ethical, privacy-conscious, and accessible research practices.
• Stay informed about UX research methods, tools, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Based in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area.
• Available for on-site work and research sessions.
• Able to troubleshoot basic hardware and technical issues involving devices, recording equipment, and testing setups.
• Able to walk long distances and stand for extended periods during on-site research sessions.

Compensation

Salary: $36–$50 per hour.
