Job Description

AgileEngine is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and observability platforms supporting Data and AI teams in a PCI-compliant environment.

The role involves developing the DevOps and observability roadmap, building reusable infrastructure-as-code modules, and managing cloud environments across AWS, Azure, or GCP. You will own CI/CD processes, including automated testing, security scanning, deployment strategies, and rollback procedures.

You will operate Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads, manage autoscaling, ingress, secrets, and policies, and develop observability solutions covering metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and SLO-based alerting.

Responsibilities also include implementing cloud security and compliance controls, leading incident response and on-call activities, maintaining runbooks, conducting blameless post-mortems, and improving reliability and operational efficiency.

You will collaborate with developers, AI engineers, QA specialists, DBAs, and product teams to improve developer experience, create internal platform tooling, establish engineering standards, and support self-service capabilities across India and U.S. teams.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering, operating production services.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • Experience managing infrastructure as code using Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes, including EKS, AKS, or GKE, and container tools such as Docker, Helm, ArgoCD, or Flux.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go, along with solid SQL knowledge.
  • Strong experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Hands-on experience with observability tools such as New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK, or Datadog.
  • Understanding of cloud security and compliance practices, particularly within PCI-compliant or regulated environments.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple projects, time zones, and on-call rotations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Upper-intermediate English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating Dataiku DSS, Snowflake, or other large-scale data and analytics platforms in production.
  • Experience with service meshes, API gateways, and zero-trust networking.
  • Knowledge of policy-as-code tools such as OPA, Rego, Checkov, or tfsec.
  • Experience with software supply-chain security, including SBOM and Sigstore.
  • Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
  • Experience supporting ML or LLM workloads, including GPU scheduling, model serving, vector databases, LangSmith, or Langfuse.
  • Database administration or reliability experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Snowflake.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS, Azure, or GCP Professional, CKA, CKAD, or HashiCorp Terraform certification.
