Job Description

We are seeking a Senior GenAI DevOps Engineer / AI Engineer to design, build, deploy, and support production AI agents on AWS. The role combines AI agent development (approximately 60%) with DevOps and CI/CD engineering (approximately 40%).

• Design, develop, and implement AI agents using the Claude Agent SDK, formerly Claude Code SDK.
• Build agent workflows using Python or TypeScript, including tool calling, MCP integrations, and API orchestration.
• Deploy and manage AI agents using Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Runtime.
• Develop and maintain automated GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines for agent builds, testing, and deployments.
• Configure AWS IAM, Amazon ECR, Docker/container packaging, and cloud security controls.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise the performance of production AI agents.
• Implement secure authentication, logging, monitoring, observability, and operational processes.
• Support production deployments and resolve issues across the AI agent and AWS environments.

Requirements

• 10–15+ years of overall professional experience.
• 6–8 years of experience building AI agents and deploying them into production on AWS.
• Hands-on experience developing AI agents with the Claude Agent SDK; experience must extend beyond Claude prompting.
• Practical experience deploying and configuring agents on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Runtime.
• Strong experience independently building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Strong programming skills in Python or TypeScript, including API integration.
• Experience with AWS Bedrock and broader AWS services and architecture.
• Experience with MCP integrations, tool calling, and building agents that execute external tools.
• Experience with Docker, Amazon ECR, and AWS IAM for packaging, deployment, and permissions management.
• Knowledge of secure authentication, logging, monitoring, observability, and production support.
• Experience with Terraform or AWS CDK for infrastructure as code is desirable.

Location and Work Arrangement

This is a remote or hybrid role open to candidates located in Western U.S. time zones to support required time zone coverage.

The successful candidate must be comfortable travelling to client sites for workshops and meetings.
