Job Description

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, highly available AWS infrastructure for mission-critical systems operating 24/7.

The role will focus on infrastructure automation, containerized workloads, CI/CD, streaming and data platforms, observability, security, cost optimization, and operational reliability. The successful candidate will own infrastructure projects end to end, from architecture and deployment through documentation, support, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design and manage AWS infrastructure across multiple accounts and environments.
• Operate ECS/Fargate workloads with load balancing, autoscaling, and high-availability architectures.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and maintain Jenkins/Groovy CI/CD pipelines.
• Operate and optimize Kafka, data platforms, and distributed systems.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, incident response, and proactive performance improvements.
• Optimize AWS costs through right-sizing, waste reduction, and cost-conscious architecture.
• Automate operational processes using Python, Bash, and AWS Lambda.
• Strengthen infrastructure security, vulnerability management, patching, credential protection, and CI/CD security controls.
• Manage infrastructure changes through reviewed pull requests using a single main branch.
• Create technical documentation and runbooks for first-level support teams.
• Use performance, operational, and cost data to guide technical decisions and advise leadership.
• Use AI-powered tools to improve productivity while maintaining code quality and review standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering within 24/7 production environments.
• Advanced AWS experience, including ECS/Fargate, ALB/NLB, Auto Scaling, VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, ACM, CloudFront, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, SSM, and CloudTrail.
• Advanced Terraform skills, including reusable versioned modules, S3 remote state, provider and module version pinning, and multi-environment deployments.
• Strong Docker experience, including Dockerfiles, base images, ECR image management, and ECS task definitions.
• Experience with Jenkins, Groovy, Jenkinsfiles, shared libraries, Java/Maven builds, and shift-left security practices.
• Production experience with Kafka or AWS MSK, Aerospike, and multi-AZ architectures.
• Experience with EMR, EMR Serverless, Flink, Airflow, Athena, and S3 Tables.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Graphite, CloudWatch, Fluent Bit, Logstash, OpenSearch, Slack, and SNS.
• Strong Python skills, including boto3, as well as Bash scripting and AWS Lambda experience.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management, system patching, credential protection, API key security, and least-privilege access.
• Experience with Git, pull requests, Jira, Confluence, and AI-assisted development tools.
• Strong problem-solving, independent working, communication, and data-driven decision-making skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in AdTech or real-time bidding (RTB) environments.
• Experience with AWS CloudFormation.
• Java development experience.
