Conductor is needed in Buena Vista, United States.
Lead the artistic direction of a 50+ member community orchestra in Buena Vista, Colorado, beginning spring 2027. This is an ongoing, on-site role covering two concert seasons per year, with a three-concert series each spring and fall.
Plan and recommend concert programming, prepare and conduct eight weekly Monday evening rehearsals per season, and lead a weekend of performances in Leadville, Salida, and Buena Vista. Assign principal players and provide clear, musically effective rehearsal leadership.
Work collaboratively with the Board of Directors and support musicians across a range of skill levels. The ideal conductor will foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging musical environment for volunteer ensemble members.
