During my Computer Science bachelor’s, I studied both the theoretical and practical aspects of software engineering. I gained a solid foundation in architectures, design patterns, clean and scalable code, but also experienced all of these in numerous hands-on projects, both individual and in small teams. The applications that were developed in teams also taught me how to collaborate in a group and deliver high quality products. Although I have worked on all layers of software systems, I have developed a strong preference for backend development and system design. Through coursework and projects, I have gained knowledge about areas such as database management, software engineering methods, algorithms, statistics and machine learning. These have strengthened my problem-solving skills, which are supplemented by chess and competitive programming in my free time. Other than these, I have participated in a hackathon requiring rapid prototyping and innovative thinking, implementing an Android app that integrates with Uber. I also conducted research in Japan focused on the complexity of learning automata from given data, where I am currently preparing a paper for a conference submission in collaboration with the Japanese professors. Alongside this, I am developing a Poker AI as a personal project, that integrates probabilistic reasoning, opponent modeling, and reinforcement learning to make strategic betting decisions.
