Working on the Stargate franchise was a deep dive into world-building. For these productions, I didn’t just provide a recording space, I was responsible for the entire sonic landscape from the first note to the final mix.
Original Composition: Composed and produced the original score, capturing the cinematic, epic feel of the Stargate universe while giving each story its own unique emotional heartbeat.
Authentic Sound Design: I blended the iconic, legacy sound effects of the franchise with my own custom-designed layers. This hybrid approach kept the world sonically familiar for die-hard fans while adding fresh, immersive textures to the new environments and technology.
Actor Sessions & Direction: Hosted and recorded the original franchise actors in-studio, ensuring their performances were captured with the highest fidelity and the right dramatic nuance.
The Final Mix: Led the complete post-production process, balancing dialogue, complex SFX, and my original score into a polished, “movie-for-your-ears” final delivery.
Working on a Star Wars title is always a career highlight. For Ubisoft’s first-ever open-world Star Wars game, I provided the local infrastructure and technical oversight for key dialog recording sessions.
The Booth Experience: Hosted voice talent at my international studio Digital Sound Magic, ensuring a high-end, comfortable environment where performers could deliver the gritty energy the game demanded.
Global Remote Patch: Facilitated seamless real-time sessions between our local talent and the Ubisoft/Massive Entertainment creative teams via Microsoft Teams, maintaining high-speed collaboration across time zones.
AAA Standards: Delivered high-fidelity, raw audio assets that integrated directly into the game’s cinematic and world-building dialogue systems.
For Ubisoft’s massive open-world Avatar title, I handled the in-studio dialogue sessions at my facility. This was a high-stakes project that required a perfect balance between local performance and global collaboration.
In-Studio Talent: We hosted the voice talent on-site, providing a focused, high-end environment to capture the nuance and energy needed for the world of Pandora.
Remote Direction: I managed the audio and visual bridge between our local booth and the creative team, bringing in directors and dialogue editors via Microsoft Teams for real-time feedback and seamless sessions.
The Result: Delivered clean, high-fidelity raw tracks that hit the rigorous standards of a AAA production while keeping the workflow smooth for the remote team.
