I'm a freelance music industry professional with over 20 years of experience across artist management, label operations, digital marketing, and creative partnerships. Based in Amsterdam, I consult with artists, labels, and music businesses—helping them develop tailored strategies, optimize campaigns, and navigate the ever-evolving music landscape. My journey began as a musician and music producer in South Africa, where I released several No. 1 radio singles through my electronic project Popartlive and performed at many of the country’s top festivals. That experience gave me a deep, first-hand understanding of the creative process and the realities of building a career as an artist—perspectives I carry with me into every strategic role. I also run my own label, Gaplife Music, which provides a platform for emerging talent and forward-thinking electronic releases. In recent years, I’ve led music partnerships and campaign strategy for platforms like Collabhouse, collaborating with brands including Reason Studios and Pete Tong DJ Academy. I also helped expand Collabhouse’s user base internationally, particularly across Africa. I frequently use tools like FUGA Score to guide performance analysis and campaign optimization. Previously, at Music at Work BV, I managed day-to-day operations for a roster of artists and coordinated global release strategies. One highlight was supporting Jonasu’s hit single “Black Magic,” which went Gold in the UK and led to major performances including the BRIT Awards and Jingle Bell Ball. Whether I’m supporting artists directly or advising businesses on how to connect more deeply with audiences, I thrive where creativity meets structure—and where good music finds the platform it deserves.
