My background working cruise ships provided me experience working all hours of the day and night, 7 days of the week for 7 month contracts. This involved work in various venues and locations on the ship such as theatre (live entertainment, musicals, production shows, bands and orchestra, cinema), Ice Rink (production shows on ice, bands, entertainment shows, cinema), bars (bands and live acts), nightclub (DJ & acts), ship promenade (bands, parade, orchestra, hosts & acts), pool (band and DJs). This included overseeing and managing my team of stage staff involved with assisting me in the set up of equipment and stage needs. I recently graduated with a Master’s Degree at Falmouth University in ‘Music Entrepreneur’ where I majored in music business and marketing and branding using social media, after this I went on to take up courses in Business Start Up and launch my companies Pixelwave Studio and Pixelwave Record Label, this included building the Pixelwave company website using Wordpress and Elementor as well as creating marketing and branding strategies for the business, using Final Cut Pro, Canva and Ableton Live Suite to generate content. The company is both a learning academy for youths and adults, and also offers services in the field of digital media, such as Podcast Production, Audio Engineering and DJ services. I have an analytical and creative approach to work and projects and whilst my background is mostly in sound, my skills are adaptable due to the technological and analytical nature of engineering and technician work. This includes being able to work under extreme pressure, being able to adapt and problem solve by finding solutions to projects as and when they arrive, working long and unsociable hours, and the ability to adapt to ever changing work requirements, situations, software and technology.
