I am a Composer and Conductor with 20 years of performance experience. COMPOSER/ARRANGER As a composer with the Sonoram team, I created and conducted bespoke music for film (Guadagnino’s documentary Salvatore: shoemaker of dreams), television (HBO’s We are who we are, For no good reason), advertising (among others, FIAT, McDonald’s, Media Markt). My work is based on a scrupulous attention to details and analysis of the brief to meet the requirements of our clients matching the standards of this competitive business environment. The vast majority of my work as a composer is guided by written briefs or video material to write music for. I have a long experience in arranging for Orchestra, Wind Band, Jazz Orchestra, Jazz ensembles, String section, Horn section and Choir. In my daily activity as composer and educator, I apply and teach a wide range of elements of composition, orchestration, analysis, music theory, arranging techniques and acoustics. My wide experience in performance, orchestral music, jazz ensembles and conducting makes me an ideal person to explore different genres, blurring traditional lines and creating music that will resonate with audiences and artists. I think of harmony, theory, orchestration and compositional techniques as instruments through which composers can tell a story and create a mood. I am committed to a no-nonsense approach to composing, having the audience and the audio/video final product at the centre of my creative efforts. In my work as conductor and ensemble leader I range from classical and romantic repertoire to contemporary compositions (John Adams, Ennio Morricone, Danny Elfman) and contaminations such as latin american or jazz music for symphonic orchestra.
