    paper ClassBuilder

I led the redesign of the ClassBuilder interface, Pearson’s digital authoring platform designed for teachers to create and record interactive lessons using simulators, animations, videos, and licensed content.

The legacy UI was dense and inconsistent; controls and properties competed for attention, slowing slide authoring. I rebuilt the interface from the ground up using an early design system before design systems approach: a Bootstrap-based component library with design tokens (color, spacing, type, states), unified iconography, and consistent touch targets. The new dark theme improves contrast and focus, the right-side properties panel clarifies hierarchy, and the thumbnail strip speeds navigation. Result: faster authoring, less rework, and a coherent experience teams could extend without reinventing patterns.
