Hi, I'm Salomé Jiménez Galeano, a costume and fashion designer based in Medellín, Colombia. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Costume Design from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. My practice bridges commercial fashion and stage costume design, allowing me to approach garments from both a market-oriented and narrative perspective. I am particularly interested in translating identity into clothing—whether that means interpreting a brand and its audience, or developing the visual language of a fictional character. Through my work, I explore the relationship between body, movement, and garment, as well as the expressive and symbolic potential of costume. I combine this conceptual approach with technical skills in pattern making and design development to create coherent, functional, and visually compelling proposals. I am especially drawn to projects that involve character development, where clothing becomes a second skin that communicates personality, context, and story.
