Junior Graphic Designer at Qantas Loyalty

During this internship, I was part of a team of designers. I reported to a senior designer and the Manager of Creative Services. Utilising the Adobe Creative Suite, I was exposed to a variety of design briefs, ranging from adapting images to digital specs and print mediums, to working on animated gifs, to formatting legal documents. The assets I created featured in Frequent Flyer eDMs, paid and organic socials, Qantas verticals’ websites, in-flight magazines, and in-store physical ads. I learnt to adhere to brand guidelines, maintain clear communication with stakeholders, apply feedback, and effectively manage my time and workload.

Storeperson at JB Hi-Fi (Narellan)

This casual role introduced me to a variety of operations. Primarily stationed in the storeroom, my tasks included unpacking, scanning in and processing deliveries, and reprinting delivery invoices. I was also assigned to the door to confirm customer Service NSW app QR code check-ins, and maintain a covid-safe store capacity.

Sales Assistant & Fitting Specialist at Shoes & Sox (Narellan)

Extensively trained across three store locations, I was introduced to a large range of demographics, product knowledge, customers and how best to serve them. My tasks included measuring and fitting shoes, greeting customers, and assisting them in recommending products specific to their needs, in a respectful and friendly manner. I also participated in retrieving stock from on-site storage, operating point-of-sale, and maintaining store presentation. Occasionally, I was responsible for marking down and labelling products, processing delivery, filing stock and processing online orders. During my close shifts, I was responsible for counting the daily revenue, mopping/cleaning the store and following up on last-minute customer phone calls.

In this Christmas casual role, I learnt to restock products, operate at point-of-sale, greet customers, process customer transactions, and count tills. Working open and close shifts on the main shop floor, I was assigned to a variety of stations, including changing rooms, men’s tills, and ladies’ tills. During my time there, I assisted and reported to my Department Managers and strived within a team to achieve our daily store budget.
