Challenge
The site was losing readers because of its own ad load; monetization had to stay without breaking the experience.
What I did
Instead of removing ads, reorganized the reading flow with a Breaking News hierarchy and ad modules at natural break points.
Result
More than 10% monthly retention, better ad CTR and faster time to market.
