I’m Nidhi, a 3D animator and visual storyteller from New Delhi, India. Growing up in a family of artists shaped my creativity into a balance of imagination and problem-solving. After high school, I moved to the US to pursue a BFA in 3D Animation and VFX at the School of Visual Arts, NYC. Experiencing a new culture and its diversity made me more observant and deeply curious about people and their stories. I draw inspiration from everyday moments and human experiences, often translating them into my work through nuanced visuals, emotion-driven storytelling, and a blend of technical and creative exploration. The growth of AI has also encouraged me to work with this technology and integrate it into my art to make it better and more efficient.

While my thesis film was required, the story was entirely self-initiated. I created a CG short about Naina, a race car driver who, before a race, recalls crashing her father’s car as a child while learning to drive. Moving between past and present, the film explores how early failure can shape passion. I wanted to highlight a perspective often missing in stories of ambition—that failure shouldn’t be avoided, but transformed into growth. Inspired by my own childhood, I chose a more personal, introspective approach over a conventional one. This project reflects my ability to combine technical skill with storytelling, while also strengthening my organization, scheduling, and leadership skills throughout the production process.
