I am a recent graduate from university with a degree in illustration. From my university experience, I completed many projects over the three years that enabled me to expand my skills as in illustrator and push me forward creatively. From books, to posters, and even a short animation, I was able to make art I’d never thought of making before. I enjoy working with line art, style, and experimenting with different colour schemes, often varying how I make my work to keep me versatile, and so I am able to easily adapt my work to a clients request. I thrive in drawing characters especially, and love being able to explore the uniqueness of humans through it. My most prevalent project from university that allowed me to push forward as an illustrator, was my self led third year project. My work was based on a group of characters I created, and the four outcomes that I made became a short 12 page graphic novel, three “movie” posters, six character profiles, and a short animated sequence. Along with expanding my skills as an illustrator, it pushed me in other aspects of creativity, as I had to plan out everything from the characters, to their designs, the narrative behind it etc... It is a project that has inspired me in my work and one I carry forward to this day. Here is a link to my online portfolio to see all of my work: _Website not available. Here I decided to attempt a digital painting without relying on line art and so was able to experiment with different designs and anatomy at the same time. Always practing different background types as well.
uniE621 Line art for poster idea

    uniE621 Anime illustrations

Taken inspiration from an art trend I had seen online, I tried my part in creating a reflective surface of a lake house at night.

An illustration of the scooby doo gang that I did in my spare time to explore drawing characters in my own style who had already been created in another style originally.
