    paper RUSHED independent animation

    Plot:
An abstract character wakes up in an apparently empty, white world. He sets out to explore but is discouraged by the endless, empty space. Suddenly he is startled by strange, loud noises. Startled, he starts to run, after which he stumbles over an obstacle. When he looks up he sees something that frightens him terribly. Where did he end up? And is there a way out?

    Production:
Rushed was produced in 5 days by Team Polako in The Netherlands, for the One Week Film Project 2019 of Nieuwe Filmers.

    Background:
The idea behind the animation is to make the viewer empathize with the character, who is increasingly hounded by external factors, but also by his reaction to them. He seems to have little to no influence on his circumstances and runs on. This can be seen as a metaphor for stress factors in one’s own life and society. The degree of abstraction in the character makes it easier to look at this from a distance. The pressure on the character continues to mount, with the context of the environment raising more and more questions. The denouement makes the metaphor suddenly visible. The end symbolizes the pressure of society.
