My name is Sylvain Ott, and I'm a composer, music producer, and trained guitarist with over 20 years of experience creating music for film, television, advertising, and production libraries. I studied classical and jazz guitar as well as harmony and composition at CIM Paris, Schola Cantorum, and the Conservatoire de Bois-Colombes. These studies gave me a strong foundation both technically and artistically, and over the years I’ve developed a style that blends acoustic sensitivity with cinematic depth. I started my career in studio production and gradually moved into composing for visual media. In 2016, I received the Wildsound Festival Award for Best Music, and in 2017, one of my tracks won Best Ambient Production Music at the Mark Awards. I became a definitive member of SACEM in 2022. My approach to composition is rooted in texture, phrasing, and emotion. I love building music that serves a story — whether it's a song, a commercial, a short film, or a documentary — and I enjoy adapting to different creative directions and production environments.
