Freelance Illustrator and Graphic Designer based in Baltimore, Maryland with a passion for bold, fun design. I am currently an artist with independent toy company Mischief Toys, where I bring new collectible characters to life through figure design, package design artwork, and brand apparel.
In recent years, I have been a contributing designer with the toys, puzzles, and games company Ravenburger, and their North American subsidiary, ThinkFun. There I have managed brand assets, created design elements for social media posts and advertisements, and designed full brand catalogues.
Formerly an expert draftsman, I have had 14 years of experience in technical drawing, preparing black and white line art for patent office submission. I have worked alongside attorneys, engineers, private inventors, and large businesses and have a thorough understanding of patent rules and guidelines, as well as product construction and function. I have had the opportunity to work alongside major brands including Crocs, Rothy’s, Keen, Black&Decker, Nike, Google, Welly, Intex, Rolex, and more during my time as a patent illustrator.
In their first ever licensing deal, Mischief Toys teamed up with the heavy metal band GWAR to create a new variation of their beloved mascot Gastley. While the band is on tour, Minion Gastley is back home cleaning up after the chaos. For this project, I was tasked with illustrating artwork that captures the thematic and visual style of GWAR while injecting a hint of mischief. Full scope of the project includes a limited run t-shirt design, hat design, and black light poster.
