Hi! I’m Thais Rowe, a toy designer with a BA in Child Studies from Concordia in Montreal and a Master’s in Kids & Toys Design from Politecnico di Milano. Years of hands-on work with children as a nanny, daycare educator, and camp leader, combined with my academic training, allow me to step into a child’s shoes and design with a clear, real-world UX perspective. Professionally, I have designed and illustrated a baby memory book for Sassi Editore and recently completed a six-month internship at LEGO’s Creative Play Lab in Denmark. While I have not yet designed for adults, I am eager to do so because I believe every adult is still a kid at heart and most grown-up products are simply toys in disguise. My playful way of seeing the world translates naturally to general products and experiences. Having followed an international path from Canada to Italy to Denmark, I thrive in collaborative environments and value the fresh ideas that come from bringing different backgrounds together.
