Hello! I have over 20 years of experience as a CG Animation Supervisor and a Supervising Director, working in both features and television for Hollywood Studios such as Dreamworks Animation and Warner Bros Animation. Collaborating with large teams of artists and animators both in-house and around the globe, I've helped guide animated shows from script and animation through lighting and final mix, successfully delivering hours of animated projects on time and under budget. I would love to bring that talent and experience to your project! On "Beware the Batman", as Animation Supervisor I was responsible for reviewing the Layout and Animation that came in from our overseas team in India, as-well-as providing feedback, draw-overs, and recording extensive video acting/performance reference for the teams (I'm not shy about jumping on camera...sometimes literally, to act out a performance). This also included compiling notes, and as much Layout and Animation reference as possible for the team, before shipping out the locked animatic to the overseas team, which could include animating rough camera moves in Maya or recording them via my web camera. I animated in-house shot fixes when needed, as-well-as animating the opening title sequence for the series, which earned an Emmy nod. While supervising on the feature film “Barnyard: The Original Party Animals” as a Supervising Animator, I worked closely with the Director and our Animation Director to lead our creative team of over 30 animators through the production, while maintaining my own quota of animated shots. Finally, on "Madagascar: A Little Wild", I worked with a choreographer to help provide dance and camera reference for our story and animation teams for the various musical numbers. In most of the Animated shows I've directed, I've worked closely with the Animation Director as well, reviewing layout, blocking and final animation. Having that background as Animator has helped me guide the teams toward strong visual poses and cinematic staging. This has given me a keen perspective of the overall pipeline of production, while leading large teams of artists in-house and remotely, which has allowed me to quickly and creatively problem solve most issues that could arise. I am very comfortable time shifting, based upon the needs of the team. On previous productions, I've collaborated with teams in multiple time zones ranging from California and Connecticut in the US to Ireland, Vancouver, India and Taipei. Allow me to help tell your next story! Thank you!
