You hearing this stuff? This new TOMCAT is next best thing when it comes to dance music. You ever seen one of those shiny, spinny, psychedelic things? Yeah, it’s basically like that but a lot louder and features a bunch of music from a couple years ago. Inspired by Benny Benassi, the Black Eyed Peas, Crazy Frog, Drowning Pool, Eiffel 65, Fetty Wap, Haddaway, Kendrick Lamar, Linkin Park, LMFAO, Usher, Vengaboys, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

This project follows, in spirit, my 2021 project MUSAK. While the 2021 record is a first attempt at various unfamiliar genres, this project is an attempt to find my own voice through the language of electronic dance music. It may not be for you or your mother, but it’s full of heart regardless. Inspired by a diverse set of samples that come from the internet and from classic dance records.

Phoni is a ten song LP and my debut as a singer/songwriter. Arranged, recorded, and mixed in a combination of Ableton Live and Pro Tools the album was released on Valentines Day 2024. The eleven songs, including the bonus track available upon digital download, feature an eclectic mix of genres spanning from electronic to singer/songwriter to hip hop. This project has been something I’ve been working on in the background for a while. Some songs have come and gone and some songs have stayed with me, in one form or another, since as far back as 2017. While recording and mixing the album I took influence from artists such as Field Medic, Neutral Milk Hotel, Bakar, and many, many more.

Martyn is the self-titled four song EP featuring Evan R.(vocals), Thomas C.(bass), Yaser V.(guitar), Eric J.(drums). Created with Ableton Live 10 and originially released in 2020, the shorter form project features a few select songs that would eventually be remixed in 2021. With songs like ‘OK Boomer’ and ‘Riley Reid’ the EP captures a slice of Gen Z life on the brink of COVID-19. While working on the project we played with other local bands like Scream Revolution and Glass House.
