    The idea for this magic effect was inspired by several references. I created a dynamic slash with flames, added cracks, smoke, and character animation. The effect was designed for my portfolio, but it’s well optimized and can be used in a game. I developed the main shader using Amplify Shader Editor for most of the elements. All textures were created with Substance Designer. The meshes and surface destruction were made in Houdini. I also added and animated some post-process effects.
