I am Orion Jaime, a ceramicist and interdisciplinary artist from Phoenix, Arizona, graduating in 2025 from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Fine Arts. I currently focus on my art practice at Northern Arizona University in a Special Student Program for Ceramics, expanding my portfolio for graduate school and preparing for a solo gallery exhibition in Spring 2026. I hand-build sculptures, throw pottery, and mix glaze from scratch, balancing studio time with outdoor exploration, drawing inspiration from natural botanical forms of Arizona’s landscape.
In my studio practice, I aspire to create pieces that transcend the fascinating nature of the desert and venture into the realm of fantasy. My work merges botanical forms across the Arizona landscape, blending nature with fantasy, and I am passionate about maintaining a self-driven studio practice and fostering collaboration, mentoring, and leadership within artistic and educational environments.
