A fictitious hotel imagined with a vintage, celestial aesthetic; that emphasizes dreams and boasts hosting the best sleep of your life. Iconography of a Pegasus and its’ constellation counterpart embody the essence of The Stargazer Hotel’s mysticism. The combination of vector illustration, and vintage photos and imagery epitomize the surrealism of dreams, where some details are simple and others truly real. Your dreams await you at The Stargazer Hotel.
The Houston Shakespeare Festival’s 2024 season features two classic plays, Midsummer Night’s Dream and Romeo & Juliet, to celebrate HSF’s 50th anniversary. To honor the legacy of this Houston staple, I picked classic colors and paired it with layered, edgy textures. The dagger with a broken heart represents the tragedy in Romeo & Juliet, while the wild pansy flower depicts the love potion made by the fairy, Puck, in Midsummer Night’s Dream.
The University of Houston School of Dance requested graphics to showcase the uniqueness of each show for the 2023-24 season. I created a wide range of collateral including web posters, postcards, yard signs, email headers, signage, digital placements, stickers, and a mailer booklet. The graphics were made based off scripts for the plays and utilizing the University of Houston branding, while also listening to what the client felt best represented each play and making edits accordingly.
Identity for the KGMCA Dean’s Coffee & Convos where he encourages students to chat with him over coffee. The logos were created to appear friendly and welcoming with a fun, contemporary style that stayed within The University of Houston’s brand guidelines. The Dean illustration and ampersand graphic represent the event’s purpose to connect with the students one-on-one.
Insight is a creative card deck that serves as a catalyst for creative thinking. Based on tarot, it features inspiring visuals that were derived from unique tales found in the booklet. The eye motif, hand-drawn logo and illustrations create a magical, fairytale-like narrative that allows the player to make up their own interpretations of the meaning behind them. Whenever you’re ready to play, just pick a card and let it grant you insight.
This branding package for Bittersweet Mobile Bar takes direct inspiration from the bitters and sweet fruit that are added to the cocktails. The graphics were created with a 60’s look to create a sense of playfulness. For the collateral, a primary and secondary logo were created, along with items like napkins, aprons, menus, matchbooks, and business cards.
The Houston Shakespeare Festival began in 1975 and celebrates classic portrayals of Shakespearean plays in the park. For the 2023 season, I was inspired to create bright and summery visuals for Macbeth and Much Ado About Nothing. These plays are represented by two hands reaching for each other; a bloody hand depicts the violent ambitions of Macbeth and a hand with an engagement ring symbolizes the romantic comedy aspects of Much Ado About Nothing.
