The Brook family’s story is seriously inspiring.
They started with a patch of dry, tired land… and turned it into a thriving, biodiverse ecosystem.
What used to be empty is now green, alive, and full of sound.
Bit by bit, they supported the land to wake up.
Even water returned: a little creek began to flow again, weaving through the trees. That’s when you know a place is healing - when water finds its way home.
The choice was simple: “instead of breaking it down, let’s build it back up.”
They planted over 45,000 native trees and 4,000 macadamia trees — and with that, the land started to come alive again.
What used to be bare is now a buzzing wildlife corridor.
And they didn’t stop there.
Their approach to pest control? No chemicals. Just owls, snakes, and tiny wasps doing their thing. It’s genius: working with nature instead of against it.
What really hits me - and inspires me just as much - about this story is how much our choices in business matter. Not just for the planet, but for people, and for generations to come.
When you live your mission and lead with purpose, it creates a ripple effect.
This story shows us something powerful:
That doing what’s good for the planet and for humanity can also be good for business.
You can do well by doing good. 💚
And that’s how we make it count.
I had the chance to bring Brookfarm’s story to life and share their journey in this short little video - because I believe some stories are too powerful to go unseen.
I hope it stirs something in you.
