“Passos No Escuro” is an independent initiative with the goal of promoting cult/horror films in the city of Porto, by organizing cinema sessions held at the Passos Manuel theater, located inside the Coliseu.

After discovering this initiative, and noticing that there was no website for it, I contacted the organizer – José Santiago – and suggested that I could create a web app for the project, something that could both facilitate the project’s promotion and at the same time offer the possibility to book tickets for the cinema sessions, etc. The proposal was accepted, and together we outlined the plan for the web app: to publicize future (and past) sessions, allow ticket reservations, and create a back office to manage sessions, tickets, seasons, etc.

Some of the services I created for the back office:

º Create/Edit/Delete Reservations

º Create/Edit/Delete Ticket Offices

º Close Ticket Office 30 minutes before the Session starts

º Close Session 30 minutes after the Session starts

º Send an email to the user after a ticket reservation is completed

º Send an email to the user if a Session is canceled

º Cancel a ticket reservation if the user does not make payment within 24 hours

This project was developed in ASP.NET MVC, where I built both the Frontend (HTML, CSS, jQuery, etc.) and the Backend (C#, REST API, SQL, etc.) entirely from scratch.
