Paulo Azevedo

I am a filmmaker, cinematographer, photographer and visual artist with more than 15 years of experience across film, television, advertising, documentary, video art and photography. After earning my Film and Television degree at AFDA in Cape Town, I built an international career working across Angola, Lisbon, London and Cape Town. My approach combines strong technical knowledge with an authorial, experimental perspective and a contemporary visual language.

I enjoy bringing ideas to life through directing, cinematography, editing, photography and sound design. My experience includes institutional films, advertising campaigns, television programmes, documentaries, music videos and artistic installations, with work presented in cities including Luanda, Lisbon, London, Amsterdam, New York, Bordeaux and São Paulo. I am also passionate about sharing my knowledge through teaching and developing original documentary and feature-film projects.
