    uniE621 Beer Packaging
Objective The main objective for this project was to create a box for a six pack of beer for their resembling existing larger cans but make them to fit smaller 12 oz cans. Design To use the same look and feel of the existing design of the can and use what they have already to create a box for 12 oz cans. This product was created to be sold in grocery stores and other similar companies that sell beer in Northern California.
    uniE621 Hope In Design
Objective The goal of this infographic campaign is to raise public awareness about the deteriorating state of water in California’s lakes due to prolonged drought, agricultural runoff, and climate change. Many of these lakes—once recreational and ecological hubs—are now shrinking, contaminated, or drying up altogether. This campaign seeks to inform Californians about the urgency of the issue while encouraging conservation and policy support. Design The infographic will feature a vertically scrolling visual journey titled “Where the Water Went”, combining stylized lake maps, before-and-after satellite views, and key statistics (e.g. water levels, salinity, biodiversity loss). A cool, desaturated palette with warm accent colors will symbolize depletion and urgency. Layered iconography and brief narrative callouts will guide the viewer emotionally and intellectually, ending with actionable steps (water conservation, support legislation, community initiatives).
    uniE621 Design In Music
OBJECTIVE To visually capture the spirit of Positune—a music festival rooted in connection, rhythm, and the eclectic soul of San Francisco—by creating a visual identity that blends analog warmth with bold modern energy. The goal is to celebrate both the human touch behind the music and the vibrant, layered experience of live performance in an iconic natural setting. DESIGN The visual system for Positune merges tactile and digital aesthetics to create a unique and immersive identity. The handmade logotype introduces a raw, personal feel—mirroring the artistry and imperfection of live music. Red and blue overlays are applied to high-contrast photography of musical instruments, evoking both 3D visual tension and emotional duality: heat and cool, passion and calm, analog and digital. These chromatic overlays create a rhythm of their own across the brand ecosystem, from posters and merch to signage and digital platforms. Typography is intentionally imperfect, reinforcing the theme of authenticity and spontaneity, while all visuals echo the layered, dynamic nature of sound in motion. The result is a bold, soulful, and unmistakably San Francisco identity.
    uniE621 Clarity In Type
OBJECTIVE To create an educational yet visually rich book that both honors the historical craft of letterpress and serves as a modern, accessible guide for enthusiasts, designers, and printmakers. The objective is to demystify the letterpress process through clear instruction, visual storytelling, and an aesthetic that reflects the tactile beauty of the medium itself. DESIGN The design of the book draws directly from the spirit of letterpress: structured, hands-on, and deeply textural. The layout is built on strong grids, mirroring the mechanical precision of printing presses, while generous white space allows the content to breathe—just like type on a press bed. High-resolution macro photography highlights the texture of ink on paper, deep impressions, and movable type, while technical illustrations break down the mechanics of each press component in a clean, diagrammatic style. Spot color printing (ideally in Pantone reds, blacks, or metallics) and debossed chapter openers reinforce the tactile experience. Throughout, the book balances reverence for tradition with a contemporary design sensibility, acting as both a tribute and a toolkit for anyone curious about the enduring craft of letterpress.
    uniE621 Art In Writing
OBJECTIVE My concept and challenge behind the book as a whole will be based on the history of calligraphy, but will communicate through my own style and exploration of handwritten words with Japanese ink and brush, nib pens, flat modern Pilot pens, and large size paint brushes on a bigger scale. Some will have a traditional straight forward style, while other examples will have a mixture of calligraphy and graffiti style. All styles will tie into its roots and will evoke the viewer to have the want to explore on their own. DESIGN The main message I want to get across to the audience, is that old and unique ways of calligraphy are still used and created, but not as much in present time. And the more the artform is practiced, the more people will create it experimentally. You just have to put in the time and effort. The take away for the audience is to view what examples created and researched and to have the want to research on their own.
