I am Dr. Lisa Giusti Gestri, an interdisciplinary design researcher with a passion for how design can positively impact people's lives. Originally trained in Industrial Design in Italy, I have over two decades of experience spanning product design, construction, project management, and academic research. I thrive on translating concepts into functional, user-centered designs by working collaboratively across disciplines and focusing on innovative solutions, advanced materials, and ergonomics. Currently based in Australia, I contribute to major research initiatives and innovation programs, most recently at Monash University’s Future Building Initiative. My research interests include human-centered design, sustainability, modern methods of construction, and the development of safety equipment informed by co-dependent users.
