Jens d’Hondt

I’m Jens, a PhD candidate at TU/e with a passion for scalable algorithms and data-driven solutions. My research focuses on large-scale similarity search and time-series analysis, with publications in top venues like VLDB and SIGMOD. I enjoy bridging theory and production, delivering ML pipelines and systems that handle terabytes of data in real-world settings.

Beyond research, I thrive in collaborative environments, mentoring students, and building end-to-end data solutions—from data engineering on massive datasets to robust ML experimentation and deployment. I’m always eager to explore interdisciplinary problems and share knowledge with the broader community.
