My name is Alex, I am a film editor and devoted storyteller. I have worked across feature films, TV series, shorts, commercials and music videos. Born and raised in London, I am fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and have edited films in all three languages for productions in the UK, Spain and Latin America. My work has streamed on platforms including Apple TV, Amazon Prime and MUBI, and broadcast on channels such as Al Jazeera and TRT. I am accustomed to working on big-budget productions for high-end brands including Mercedes AMG, Humana and Universal music. I thrive in fast-paced environments, embracing challenges as opportunities to take creative risks. I also have extensive experience in long-form storytelling, crafting intricate narratives and shaping characters whose journeys resonate deeply with audiences. I hold an MA in Directing Documentary from EICTV (Cuba) and have since directed for television and shot-form documentary. Most recently, I directed the TV series Cinco, celebrating Latin American leaders in culture and politics whose work has had a significant impact in the UK. My short films explore pressing social and political issues through intimate stories and have won awards at festivals including LSFF, LA Film Fest and London Independent Film Festival.
