uniE608 Text to AI Generated Video
It all begins with an idea. What's the most effective and cost efficient way to produce a video depicting the power of financial services firm, TS Imagine's WealthSmart product, over their competition. The client was seeking a visual solution, instantly recognizable, that would resonate with their client base - preferably with a nautical theme. The winning concept: a yacht triumphantly cutting through waves while a rowboat is almost capsized. Following storyboard review and asset approvals—down to sourcing the correct yacht—I built keyframes in Photoshop to accompany a detailed text prompt. support rapid iteration and refinement. Key Insight: Approach the prompt as a film director; factor in camera angle, context, camera movement (pan/still), main subject description, environment, and most importantly, lighting. Where’s it coming from? Since I had an Adobe CS subscription, I created the initial video shorts with Firefly. Firefly generated a beautiful environment with waves breaking, clouds slowly moving and light falling exactly as prompted with the keyframe. There were issues with how it rendered the man in the rowboat; clay-like face & vanishing limbs. Firefly worked well for ideation, quick concept generation, and integration, but I needed a different AI solution… quickly. After reading reviews, I settled on Google’s Gemini Veo3 Pro version. Using the same exact keyframe and prompt, I was able to now generate 8-second video segments and build consistent elements. Key Insight: I went through a series of rapid iterations early on, tweaking the rowboat and splash of waves, that I ran out of tokens. That was the end of my allotment of Veo3 Pro until 11:00 am. Not going to work. So, I had to upgrade the account to Gemini Veo3 Ultra, unlocking all kinds of benefits like You Tube Premium and TB of space, but most importantly, more tokens to iterate. From there was smooth sailing to create several 8-second videos and compose the 24-second version in After Effects. Key Insight: Keep a copy of all prompts in a Word doc for future use. The video was well received, with one edit… Add the product name to the yacht’s bow. I needed to go back to the beginning, re-enter the keyframe, detailed prompts (including direction and camera angles, lighting and wave height, sea spray and name on bow of yacht). What resulted was close, but not the same with an edit. There is no machine learning in text to video generated AI. Unless indicated “continue scene”, the AI will treat each new input as unique.
