Steven Toccaceli is a Congressional Art Award–winning artist whose creative career spans fine art, animation, writing, music, and 3D visualization. A versatile performer, he has played at jazz festivals around the world—including the Edinburgh International Jazz Festival in Scotland—and has appeared on the prestigious stage of Carnegie Hall. Steven began his animation career in 1998, contributing to daily children’s television shows such as Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog, Starship Troopers: The Animated Series, and Max Steel: The Animated Series. He later co-founded the pre-production studio Electroage, where his team developed the visual style and animation for IGOR, ultimately securing greenlight and distribution through Weinstein/MGM. Following this, Steven and his business partner established a character animation department at the award-winning Riot/Method Studios in Santa Monica, where he supervised animation and contributed to campaigns for clients including Hulu (Super Bowl campaign), BP, Nickelodeon, Chevrolet, Dodge, Mattel, the U.S. Navy, Target, Michelin, and Disney. His visual development credits include collaborations with leading directors and studios, such as John Stevenson (The Ark and the Aardvark), Barry Cook (Children of War), Cameron Hood (Groovetails, Rodzilla), and Academy Award–winning director Brenda Chapman. His work has encompassed promotional animation, 3D character creation, maquette design, and visual development for high-profile animated features. In recent years, Steven has specialized as a 3D scanning and visualization artist with SCANable, where he builds digital doubles and produces modeling, texturing, and rendering for promotional and cinematic projects.
