Hi there! I’m Ahmed Syed, a Computer Engineering student at York University with a passion for building clean, user-friendly software. I enjoy collaborating with product managers and designers to turn ideas into tangible front-end experiences, and I love exploring AI-assisted design to streamline workflows.
Beyond coursework and internships, I work on personal projects like a 3D interactive portfolio and a Magic Mirror, where I’m consolidating skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, and modern tools like Docker and GitHub. I value teamwork, continuous learning, and delivering practical solutions that make an impact.

Smart helmet that detects impacts, notifies individuals, and supports athlete safety with real-time data and access to doctors reports.
Headspace is an intelligent helmet system designed to monitor, analyze, and report head impacts in real time. Our smart sensors detect and measure impact forces, storing the data in a centralized web platform.
We combined hardware sensors, software analytics, and wireless communication to create a fully functional prototype. Force resistance sensors integrated into the helmet detect the intensity and location of impacts, providing precise data on every hit. This data is processed through a custom algorithm to assess severity and determine whether medical attention is needed.
