I’m an 82 y/o male, 37 year active and reserve retired Army veteran reaching the rank of Major. I am a member of the American Legion and a Lifetime member of the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars). I have a BA in Business Administration from University of Maryland, a BS and MAT (Master of Arts in Teaching) from the Angelo State University, and a DO (Doctor of Osteopathy) from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. I practiced medicine for 32 years. I have been a photographer since age 13 and an image editor for past 14 years. I completed the Professional Photographer Course from the New York Institute of Photography in 2020 just to have an educational credential. During the COVID lockdown, I boosted my editing skills to a high level. I have self-published several photobooks with text. I have just completed my manuscript for a historical novel to be published by iUniverse. I have 55 original pen and ink drawings for inclusion in the book. I have belonged to the Grand Rapids Camera Club since 2019 and am now a board member. I have received many awards from GRCC and from the Arizona Camera Club.
