Hi, I’m Hans D Treffers, an international award-winning visual storyteller with a career spanning drama and documentary. I trained at the Amsterdam School of the Arts in Editing, Screenwriting and Direction, and I have edited, directed and produced for film, television and other media. I’ve been recognised with several awards, including Best TV Commercial of the Year for the edit of KLM Reliable Airline and the Grand Award in Rome for the Infantryman promotional film for the Royal Netherlands Army. I enjoy working across genres and formats, and I thrive on projects that require strong storytelling, hands-on production, and independent, self-directed work when needed.
As a Senior Editor with extensive experience in reality TV and documentaries, I have contributed to award-winning series for Discovery Channel, National Malaysia TV, and numerous Dutch and international producers including Endemol/Shine, TALPA, Zodiak, ITV, and Kompas TV. My career spans from 1980s commercials to modern international productions, and I’ve built a broad network of collaborators across Europe and Asia. I’m passionate about elevating stories through precise editing, thoughtful pacing, and clear narrative structure.
