I am Alexandra Oancea, a Romanian scenographer and visual artist -illustrator, living and working in Rome, with a Master in Scenography from UNAB and a degree in Set and Costume Design from the National University of Theater Art and Cinematography. Over the past two decades I have designed sets and costumes for theatre, film, and events, and I also used to run Reginart Art Gallery in Rome, where I vad the chance to explore multidisciplinary art and artist residencies.
My practice spans stage design, interior design drawing, and creative direction for touring projects. I have exhibited widely in Berlin, Florence, and Rome, and I have participated in artist residencies at Accademia di Romania in Rome and Urban Nation Museum in Berlin. I am fluent in English and Italian, and I enjoy teaching and sharing my craft through workshops, education, and exhibitions.
