I’m Inês Robalo, a researcher and writer focused on memory, trauma, and the materiality of literature across Portuguese, German, and Italian texts. My PhD work, conducted across Lisbon, Bologna, and Leuven, investigates how objects and spaces shape reading in late nineteenth-century fiction.
As an educator and translator, I enjoy sharing German culture and intercultural communication with students while contributing to migration and emotion studies through collaborative scholarship. I bring a collaborative, approachable mindset to research and teaching, and I love making complex ideas accessible to diverse audiences.
