Hi, I’m Valerie Sophia Elneser. I’m a student-led, cross-disciplinary professional based in the Bay Area (close to the San Francisco area), and I completed BA in Intensive Psychology with a Legal Studies minor at UC Santa Cruz in 2025. As a Student Lead at UCSC, I designed course materials, build Canvas shells, and foster collaborative student teams to improve the online learning experience. I’m passionate about research, community outreach, and helping small businesses grow. Outside of work, I lead volunteer initiatives, support diversity and inclusion efforts on campus, and enjoy connecting with the local community to create positive social impact. I also did project management for 3 years support small businesses in the Santa Cruz area with social media management and website development. I also took part in conferences discussing my work as a project manager and how I helped teach students the business model canvas and taught them the skills to take initiative and go out into their communities and help small businesses (taught them how to do outreach, how they can design websites, and how they can manage social media for a client). I also became the first project manager at my internship at the University of California Santa Cruz to go out further from the Santa Cruz County and go into low income counties and support individuals who don’t have the resources to create website and to manage social media. These were mainly Spanish speaking areas, and I had the opportunity to work with many of them to help their businesses thrive.
