I am a polite, friendly and hardworking individual who enjoys learning new skills and meeting new people. Over the course of my career so far, I have found that I thrive working under pressured conditions and often challenge myself to find the most efficient way possible of completing the task at hand to a high standard. I especially enjoy being organised and planning strategically to get the job done. I am comfortable working both unsupervised and as part of a team and have experience in mentoring staff and managerial responsibilities. Over the last 2 years, I have been employed with SIG Roofing. During my time here I have learnt a great deal about the construction industry and have gained a vast knowledge of products and installation procedures. I have been able to further develop my administrative skills working within such a fast-paced environment, and I am confident in providing excellent customer service whilst bearing the pressures of such an industry. I have also completed my Forklift Truck training and hold a license to operate. Prior to working at SIG, I was employed by HM Revenue and Customs where I was responsible for processing tax rebates and various other customer submissions. I also helped man the National Insurance telephone lines, a role in which I aided the public with various queries, including Self-Assessment and pension credits. My work at HMRC was bound by strict confidentiality, and as such I can deal with highly sensitive material in a professional manner. Before my employment with HMRC, I worked at Costa Coffee whilst completing my degree. During my time there, I worked my way up from Barista to Assistant Manager, all the while developing my leadership and managerial skills. My responsibilities included cashing up, monitoring stock levels and ordering accordingly, and ensuring shifts ran smoothly. While at university, I found that I worked best when adhering to deadlines and this helped develop my ability to work quickly and conscientiously whilst still maintaining the quality of my work and my eye for detail.
