About

Hi, I’m Joseph Aspelund, a self-motivated, detail-oriented Full-Stack Engineer with over 15 years of experience. I specialize in building robust front-end experiences with modern frameworks, collaborating with product, design, and backend teams to deliver scalable solutions. I enjoy learning and adapting quickly to new environments and technologies, and I use clear, simple language to discuss topics with management and developers alike. I advocate for knowledge sharing through documentation and I am comfortable identifying edge cases before QA to ensure high-quality deliverables.

My key achievements include being solely responsible for developing an interactive HTML Canvas graph for Target’s Big Data, and I enjoy leadership and mentorship within teams, shaping UI components and design systems for consistency, while promoting re-use of data assets and reducing duplication.
