I'm Sara Sasaninejad, a PhD candidate in Telecommunications and Information Processing at Ghent University. My research focuses on queueing models related to road traffic, and my background spans civil engineering, hydraulics, and data-driven analysis. I enjoy applying rigorous analytical methods to real-world infrastructure challenges and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to translate complex findings into practical solutions. Beyond research, I teach and mentor as a teaching assistant for Queueing Analysis and Simulation, and I continuously expand my skills in Python, machine learning, and data science. I am fluent in English and Farsi, with Dutch at a basic–intermediate level (B1) and currently taking evening Dutch classes. In my free time I love reading, traveling, and meeting new people to learn from their experiences.
