I am an experienced broadcaster with almost 50 years on-air talent in public and commercial broadcasting, and 45 years in public relations, marketing, and media relations. I host The Hudson River Sampler on WAMC-FM, the Albany-based NPR affiliate, and was honored to be inducted into the Folk Alliance International Folk Radio Hall of Fame in 2019. Over the years I have held roles including News Director at WAMC, Public Information Officer for the New York State Office of Medicaid Inspector General, and Director of Public Relations at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital and at the New York Association of Homes and Services for the Aging. I’ve also worked as Writer/Editor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and hosted folk music programs at WCUW-FM. Since retiring from my last full-time job, I’ve continued to host and produce my radio show, published three novels and various short stories, and remain active in the folk music community, serving on committees within Folk Alliance International and the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance.
