In charge of all gardening operations for an organic garden expanding to 4000 sq ft, applying organic, biodynamic, conventional methods; soil prep, planting, weed management, pest and disease control, irrigation, fertilizing, composting, cover crops, crop rotation and harvests valued at $3k-4k per year. Also established and managed chicken farming (up to 80 chickens, egg production over $1k/year). Worked on a vineyard project including drip irrigation installation, fertilization, cover crops, nutrition deficiency management, disease control, weed control, and pest management; built a kestrel box to attract natural predators and recorded footage; involved in grafting different fruit tree varieties onto rootstock, researching varieties and rootstock for organic farming and planning to plant trees in the fall.
