The course for "Games Art and Design" teach various skills found in gaming and artistic industries such as digital illustration, 3D modelling, video editing, character design, graphic design, game programming and game industry history. With this course, Emily has experienced a variety of projects such as creating a board game and platforming game for school assignments as well as volunteer and internship work. Emily volunteered in a duo project with their classmate Suriati in a SCAM Awareness local event hosted by the Singapore Police Force, where Emily storyboarded and programmed an interactive narrative story book for the event. Emily has also travelled to Tokyo, Japan to host a booth at the Tokyo Game Show 2016 event. In this event, Emily used their basic Japanese language skills to host and translate during the trip, the game event booth being about a horror game involving smells and perfumes. For Emily's final assignment, they completed an internship for Confucius Institute, drawing and creating graphics for a mandarin education game for primary school level learning.
